A young couple, Nawab, a resident of Abhaynagar, and Brishti, a resident of Bhandaria in Pirojpur, living in India, are the ringleaders of the human trafficking gang. They are involved in trafficking young girls from different parts of the country in exchange for large sums of money. One active member of this gang is Brishti's mother Kulsum and her brother Al Amin. They used to live in Khulna for a long time and have been assisting the couple in India in human trafficking.

Victim Tumpa lived with her parents in a rented house in the Demra area of Dhaka. The gang members brought Tumpa alluring her that she will be made a TikTok celebrity and they will give her jobs abroad

The victim was then kept at Kulsum's house for three days. Later, she was trafficked into India through the Benapole border.

Confining her in a house in India, the gang members forced her to be involved in illegal acts. The girl was detained for two months to do immoral acts in Ali Hossain's custody.  She was also used in making TikTok videos.

Along with this, she was tortured physically and mentally.

As the victim came to know all the secrets of the gang and tried to come back home without being able to tolerate their torture, the gang members brutally killed her.

On January 25, India's Gujarat police called the victim's father over the phone and informed him that his daughter had been killed.

Later, another phone call was made to the victim's father that the accused Ali Hossain brutally killed his daughter.

Afterwards, the victim's father filed a complaint with the RAB.

RAB then launched intelligence activities to arrest the accused and continued the operation.

At one stage, RAB confirmed the position of the accused through the use of technology.

During the initial interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in the crime.

The DMP is in the process of transferring the arrestees to Demra police station in Dhaka to take further legal action, according to RAB sources.
