State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam on Saturday inaugurated a football tournament in Rajshahi after he reached the venue riding a bicycle.
Locals say the state minister reached the venue, Arani Monomohini Government High School, at around 3:30pm from his home in the district's Changshia village on a bicycle.
The venue is about 1.5 kilometre from the state minister's residence.
The tournament was organized by local Jubo League leaders.
