Rail communication on Bhairab-Kishoreganj-Mymensingh route has resumed seven hours after the engine of Egarosindhur Godhuli train derailed in Kishoreganj.
The rail movement started at 6:30am on Wednesday, confirmed Kishoreganj Railway Station Master Md Yusuf.
The station master said the engine wagon of Egarosindhur Godhuli train which left Dhaka at around 11:30pm on Tuesday night derailed after it entered Kishoreganj.
Due to this, the rail communication on Bhairab-Kishoreganj-Mymensingh route was snapped.
Later, a rescue train from Akhaura reached the spot at around 3am and salvaged the derailed engine wagon.
No injuries were reported from the incident, added the station master.
