International Kumbh Mela to start Friday in Banskhali

At Banshkhali Rishidham in Chittagong, the 21st International Rishikumbh and Kumbh Mela will begin on Friday.

Swami Adaitananda Puri Maharaj introduced the Rishikumbh and Kumbh Mela at Banshkhali Rishidham to honour Purnakumbh.

In continuation of that, extensive preparations are going on at Rishidham centring around Rishikumbh and Kumbh Mela – slated to be held from Friday to February 6.

This time around 2.5 million devotees s are expected to visit. As a result, 43 sub-committees have been formed to oversee the 11-day fair.

One of the founders of the Sanatan religion is Swami Adaitananda Puri Maharaj, who is well-known. It is believed he only travelled to Earth in order to put an end to war, slaughter and violence while also preserving humanity.

Sukumar Chowdhury, president of Rishikumbha Udjapan Parishad, and Tapas Kumar Nandi, general manager, responded when asked about the Rishikumbh and Kumbh Mela at Banshkhali Rishidham in Chittagong. They explained that Swami Adaitananda Puri Maharaj, the owner of Purna Kumbh, introduced the Rishikumbh as a way to make the great pilgrimage available to people of all classes of the country.

To avoid any kind of untoward situation and chaos and to make the Rishikumbh and Kumbh Mela successful, the police and other law enforcement agencies will be on the alert, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Banshkhali police station Kamal Uddin. 

He said: “If anyone tries to create even the slightest disturbance in the Kumbh Mela, it will be dealth with strictly. No one will be exempted.”
