More than 150 additional police forces have been deployed in Brahmanbaria ahead of Fifa World Cup final match to avert any clashes over the match.
Brahmanbaria Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhammad Sakhawat Hossain gave the information to Bangla Tribune.
The SP said that multiple teams of police will be active at places where the World Cup football game will be shown on the big screen. Members of the district intelligence branch will also perform their duties. Apart from this, police in plain clothes will perform duties at various points. Besides, police lines' reserved policemen have kept asked to stay alert.
Earlier last year, the district police had also taken special security measures in the district following Brazil and Argentina's final match in Copa America in fear of mayhem as the supporters of the two teams clashed before the final match.
Argentina and France are facing each other in the final of the World Cup football at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar at 9pm on Sunday.
