A beggar from Bhola's Charfession is seeking votes as he decided to contest the upcoming election to Nilkamal Union Parishad as a member candidate.
Abdul Jalil alias Ledu spending busy time canvassing ahead of the election, slated for December 29, has created much hype among voters under ward number 9.
Ledu told reporters that he had decided to contest the polls to protest against breach of promises made by candidates during different elections. He said he would work to bring some relief to the poor.
Voters of ward number 9 told Dhaka Tribune that many would support Ledu in the polls as he would understand the pain of the poor better.
Ledu told Dhaka Tribune that candidates for ages had been deceiving the people by promising of changes during canvassing and then forgetting their vows once they were elected.
