Victory Day: Tributes paid to Bangabandhu in Tungipara

Different organizations have paid tribute to the great architect of independent Bangladesh, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the first hour of Victory Day.

Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Gopalganj Kazi Mahbubul Alam paid tribute at Bangabandhu's mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj on the first hour of Victory Day at 12:01am.

After that, prime minister's constituency representative Shahid Ulla Khandkar, Superintendent of Gopalganj Police Ayesha Siddika, Gopalganj district Awami League, Muktijoddha Sangsad Gopalganj District Unit, Tungipara upazila unit, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology, Agricultural Research Institute, zilla parishad, Gopalganj municipality, Tungipara upazila Awami League, Tungipara municipality and various political, social and cultural organizations paid tribute by placing wreaths at the altar of Bangabandhu's tomb.

At this time, people from all walks of life flocked to the Bangabandhu Samadhi Soudha Complex. Everyone present remembered Bangabandhu with profound respect by chanting the national slogan "Joy Bangla".

Fateha recitation and special prayers were held after the wreath-laying ceremony. All walks of people prayed for the peace of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu's soul, the 3 million martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Independence War and all the members of Bangabandhu's family who were brutally killed on August 15, 1975.

Prayers were also offered for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members.
