Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will reach Cox's Bazar after 10:30 am on Wednesday.
Ahead of the PM's arrival, law and enforcers are on high alert.
The presence of law and order forces including a large number of policemen was seen around the rally at Inani and at Sheikh Kamal Cricket Stadium on Marine Drive, the venue, from Wednesday morning.
Top leaders of Awami League were seen going to the meeting place till 9am but still general people are not going to the rally venue.
Traffic police were seen controlling traffic in Cox's Bazar city.
Dhaka TribuneAbout one kilometer from the rally venue, no vehicles are allowed west of the pal's shop on the main road at hospital intersection. Marine Drive has been closed for general traffic movement.
The leaders of Awami League said that crowds will be seen at the venue from 10 am.
Superintendent of Police of Cox's Bazar Md Mahfuzur Rahman said that there is a four-layer security perimeter at the locations.
Plainclothesmen will also be on duty, and intelligence agencies are monitoring the areas, he added.
A mechanism for controlling traffic movement has been set up.

He further remarked that Cox's Bazar is now a fully protected area.
More than 4,000 members including 3,500 policemen are on duty around these two venues.
Dhaka TribuneSheikh Hasina will inaugurate 28 development projects and lay the foundation stones for four others in Cox's Bazar on Wednesday.
The PM will be there on a day-long visit to attend a number of programs.
During the visit, she will attend the four-day International Fleet Review-2022.
She will also address a public rally, the main attraction of her tour, in the afternoon.
