Rumeen Farhana’s mobile phone goes missing in BNP’s Comilla rally

Barrister Rumeen Farhana, BNP's MP from a seat reserved for women in parliament, has lost her mobile phone while visiting the BNP's mass rally venue in Comilla.

The incident took place on Friday night, a day before the rally, when Rumeen Farhana made her way to the the venue with a procession.

At the venue, the BNP leader welcomed the activists and spoke to the reporters.

Once she returned to her car, she realized that her phone was missing.

She later informed Monirul Haque Sakku, former mayor of Comilla City Corporation.

Rumeen Farhana said: “I lost my phone. I already filed a GD at Kotwali police station in Comilla and given the IMEI number in the GD copy.”

She alleged that she did not get any cooperation from the police station.

Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ahmed Sanjur Morshed confirmed that a general diary was filed at Kotwali police station in this connection. However, he could not tell who filed the GD.

Meanwhile, a cash reward of Tk20,000 has been announced if anyone can find the mobile phone.
