Awami League men in red and green heading for Jessore rally venue since morning

Awami League supporters and activists have started gathering at the party's rally venue of Jessore with processions wearing red-green colour caps.

On the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's arrival in Jessore, people are marching in groups towards Shamsul Huda Stadium.

This scene has been seen on different roads of Jessore city since Thursday morning.

A huge procession from Kazipara of the city, the home of Jessore-3 MP Kazi Nabil Ahmed, went towards the stadium at 8:45am.

Playing vuvuzelas, dancing and singing, the procession moved towards Jessore stadium, the venue of the grand rally. 

A large number of people wearing white T-shirts and red-green caps with pictures of Kazi Nabil Ahmed took part in the procession to welcome Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Apart from this, people from Ratan Korbar Bibi Road and other areas of Jessore city are flocking with processions towards the rally venue.

Meanwhile, District administration has arranged tight security in Jessore ahead of Awami League rally on Thursday. 

Jessore, one of the oldest cities in the country, is ready to receive Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she is set to attend the first massive political rally of the ruling party outside Dhaka in the lead up to the next general election.
