2 people died of dengue in RMCH

Two people died of dengue while undergoing treatment in ward no 14 and 17 of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) on Friday night.
The two deceased are Somena, 39 of Shibganj area of Chapainawabganj and Kamrul Islam, 28 of Sujanagar area of Pabna district.
Both of them were admitted to the dengue ward of RMCH on Friday.
They were both afflicted with dengue, according to Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani, director of RMCH.
“Given their poor physical condition, they were beyond saving. They passed away at night,” he said.
Meanwhile, 12 people have been admitted to the hospital due to dengue in the last 24 hours. Twenty-three patients are under treatment in the hospital.
In the last 24 hours, a total of four patients have returned home after recovering from dengue from RMCH.
