The bodies of two youths who went missing after a head-on collision between a speedboat and a sand-laden boat in Rangamati's Kaptai have been found.
The body of 20-year-old Liton Chakma was found in a fisherman's net in Kattoli area of Longadu upazila on Saturday night.
Later at around 6am on Sunday, the body of Elomina Chakma, 20, was found in the same place.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Longadu police station Ariful Amin said the bodies will be sent to Rangamati Sadar Hospital for autopsy. An unnatural death case will be filed soon.
On Friday, seven people were injured and two others went missing in a head-on collision between a speedboat and a sand-laden boat in Kaptai Lake.
The passenger-carrying boat was heading towards Langadu upazila from Rangamati Sadar in the afternoon.
The collision happened between the water vessels in the lake in Kattoli Bil Gachhkhila area when something got in the eyes of the driver, Rimel Chakma of the speed boat around 3pm.
