Speakers: Bangladesh sets example of preserving religious harmony

With an aim to preserve inter-religious harmony in Bogra, Sadar upazila administration on Saturday organized an event that was attended by people from all walks of lives.

Speakers at the event said that Bangladesh has set an example of preserving religious harmony.

They said that a quarter has tried to sabotage the harmony repeatedly but failed. They said that these ill motives should not be tolerated further and called on the government to take strong measures in this regard.

They also urged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to take the country forward under her guidance so that people of all casts and religions can live in the country in harmony.

Presided over by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer Samar Kumar Pal, the event was also attended by Bogra Deputy Commissioner Ziaul Huq and additional superintendent of police Sarafat Islam.

Majibur Rahman Majnu, the district Awami League president was also present on the occasion.
