A case was filed over the murder of a teacher-couple in Gazipur on Friday evening.
The deceased’s brother, Atiqur Rahman, filed the case against unknown persons with Gacha police station, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nanda Lal confirmed to Dhaka Tribune.
However, the OC did not disclose further details of the case for the sake of investigation.
Nanda Lal said: “It will be possible to know the exact cause of their death after receiving the post-mortem report. But in the meantime, we have started the investigation work. Suspects are being interrogated.”
On Thursday, the bodies of AKM Ziaur Rahman Mamun, 51, and his wife Mahmuda Akhter Joli, 35, were recovered from their private car by their relatives.
Their private car fell on the side of the road in the Bogartek area under Gacha police station of Gazipur metropolis.
Victims’ families claimed that they were killed in a planned manner.
Among them, Mamun was the headmaster of Shaheed Smriti High School in Gazipur and his wife Joli was working as an assistant teacher in Amjad Ali Sarkar Girls High School in Tongi Bazar area.
