A Chittagong court has remanded three people for three days, including the driver and assistant on charges of raping a woman on a bus in Chittagong.
The arrestees have been identified as Nurul Alam, 32, bus driver, bus assistants Rabiul Haq, 24, and Md Shajahan, 22.
On Monday afternoon, Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate's Court Judge Mehnaz Rahman granted them a three-day remand, after police sought seven days, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Kamruzzaman of Bayezid police station.

He said the woman left her uncle’s house in the Bayezid area to go to the Court Building area during the rain on Sunday evening.
The bus driver, who was standing on the side of the road near the Oxygen Rail Line said the bus would take her to her destination.
Later, the woman was violated by the driver and assistants, including another supervisor named Md Raju, who is currently on the run.
After the incident, the woman informed the traffic police about the incident and they informed the police station.
Police immediately seized the bus and arrested Shajahan. After interrogation, police managed to arrest Nurul Alam from Hathazari at around 11pm and Rabiul Haque from Fatikchhari at around 1:30pm.
The OC further said the woman’s husband filed a case against 4 persons, and among them, three were arrested, and one is on the run.
