Two people were killed when a moving truck crashed into a parked cement-laden truck on the Meherpur-Chuadanga highway on Thursday.
The victims have been identified as trucker Shahadat Hossain, 45, and his assistant Faruk Hossain, 42, said police.
According to locals, the loaded truck had been parked on the side of the road since Wednesday night after its wheel broke down.
The Meherpur-bound truck rear-ended the parked truck around 6:30am, leaving the two dead on the spot, said Assistant Sub-Inspector Shakhawat Hossain of the local Baradi police outpost.
