Death toll from the gas cylinder explosion in a vehicle at Aliganj in Fatullah of Narayanganj has risen to three, with another woman dying in hospital on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Hasina Momtaz, 48, who sustained 66% burns before succumbing to her injuries at 4:30pm, said SM Ayub Hossain, a resident doctor at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
On Monday, Judge Mia, 50, died with 80% burns, while Md Alam Hossain, 40, died 100%t burns on Sunday night.
Currently, two more injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital – Hasina Begum, 40, and Hafsha, 6.
On Sunday, a gas cylinder of a vehicle exploded following a cigarette fire as some workers were repairing it behind a tin-shed house of Abdul Baten in Beparipara area of Fatullah's Aliganj.
The blast burned seven of the residents of the house, while others sustained minor injuries.
