Police recovered the body of a man from Madhupur area in Tangail on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Humayun, 33.
Police detained the wife of the deceased for interrogation, said Officer-in-Charger (OC) of Madhupur police station, Murad Hossain.
He said the couple were in a longstanding domestic dispute and had engaged in a fight recently.
When the families sat down to resolve the matter on Monday, Humayun’s brother-in-law kicked him on the chest several times. Humayun was rushed to the Upazila Health Complex where he was pronounced dead on arrival, the OC said.
The wife was held in police custody for interrogation, he added.
