At least two people have died in a fire that broke out at a furniture factory in Chittagong on Monday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The fire broke out at P2P Furniture Factory on Colonel Jones Road in Pahartali area around 4pm, Fire Service and Civil Defense Assistant Director Faruk Hossain Sikder confirmed to Dhaka Tribune.
Three fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire around 5:30pm, he said, adding that the bodies were recovered from the factory during the operation.
The reason behind the fire could be known after an investigation, the official said.
