A fire broke out at a garment factory of Nur Group in Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur on Thursday.
Kaliakair Fire Service Station Officer Saiful Islam said the fire started at around 2pm in the cutting department on the second floor of the five-storey building of the factory.
Five workers sustained injuries while trying to douse the blaze.
Four firefighting units were trying to bring the blaze under control when the last report came in.
The cause of the fire was still unknown, said Saiful.
