A murder accused died while undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital on Tuesday.
Azahar Ali, 67, was brought to Rangpur Central Jail on April 11.
He was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after he fell ill. Dr Muntasir, duty officer at the Emergency Department of the hospital, said that the man had died of a heart attack.

Rangpur Central Jail Superintendent Prashanta Kumar Banik confirmed the matter, adding that the man had cardiac history.
He said that the body would be handed over to his family after completing all formalities.
