Local administration at Kaliakoir in Gazipur has recovered seven sacks of rice, meant for the Open Market Sale (OMS), from a public toilet.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tajwar Akram Sakapi Ibn Sajjad said that he, along with some officials, conducted a raid in Matikata area of the upazila on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, the UNO found the sacks of rice at an abandoned public toilet.
He later handed over the rice to an official of the upazila food office.
The UNO also canceled the dealership license of one Mahfuzur Rahman on the allegation of OMS rice theft. He said that his office was considering filing a case in this regard.
