A man has killed himself after jumping off the 20th floor of the Radisson Blu Chittagong Bay View Hotel in the port city of Chittagong on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Arif Kabir, 24, confirmed Kotwali police station Inspector (Investigation) Chowdhury Rezaul Karim.
According to Radisson Blu Public Relations chief Rafat Salman, Arif entered the hotel around 5:30 pm and went to the open space on the 20th floor and ordered food at the restaurant there.
A CCTV footage from the hotel showed Arif eating at the restaurant when he got up and jumped off the building.
The body was recovered and taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital around where doctors declared him dead.
Police are investigating the matter by examining the CCTV footage and call records, said Inspector Karim.
