An African female Lemur died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park in Gazipur on Friday.
The lemur was found dead in the enclosure in the afternoon, said Mollah Rezaul Karim, project director at the safari park.
Authorities suspect that the lemur died of a heart attack, he said.
The animal was buried after running an autopsy, he added.
The number of lemurs in the park currently stands at three.
Earlier on August 6, 2018, the Customs Intelligence Department and Dhaka Custom House authorities seized 202 pairs of endangered birds and wild animals including lovebirds, cockatoos, macaws, peacocks and lemurs at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport while being trafficked.
