A mobile court has fined the owners of two brick kilns in Tangail's Sakhipur Upazila Tk3 lakh.
Executive Magistrate Zakia Sultana conducted the operation in Palashtali area of Beheratail and Kakrajan unions on Wednesday afternoon.
She said that Mitali brick kiln was fined Tk2 lakh and Pubali brick kiln was fined Tk1 lakh for cutting topsoil from agricultural land and preparing bricks by burning wood.

Members of the law enforcement agencies, including Deputy Director of the Department of Environment Biplob Chandra Sutradhar, were present.
