Two people were killed after a tractor ran over them in Patnitala upazila of Naogaon on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Bulbuli Khatun, 42, and Faruk Hossain, 60.
The incident took place on the Sapahar-Patnitala road at around 8:30am, said Patnitala police station OC Shamsul Alam Shah.
The two were on their way to the local market when their rickshaw van broke down in the middle of the road.
At the time, the sand-laden tractor ran them over, killing Bulbuli on the spot, the OC said.
Meanwhile, Faruk died after being taken to Patnitala upazila complex.
The bodies were later taken to the Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case will be filed in this connection, said the police officer.
