Police recovered a woman’s body with her throat slit from a toilet tank in Faridpur's Boalmari upazila on Thursday.
The deceased is Nilufa Yasmin, 40, mother of three, hailing from Chatul area of the upazila, confirmed Boalmari police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Nurul Alam.
However, police are yet to find out the motive behind the killing.

According to Yasmin’s family, she was unreachable via phone since afternoon, and so her mother, son and daughter went to look for her in Yasmin’s residence in Adharkotha village. Later, they found her throat-slit body floating in the toilet tank.
On information, police and members of the fire department recovered the body.
The body was sent to Faridpur’s Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College morgue for autopsy, said OC Alam. “ We will take legal action after a case is filed.”
