A worker was killed in a gas cylinder explosion at a shipyard in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong on Tuesday.
The deceased is Mohammad Ali Nazim, 40.
The incident took place at Mother Steel Shipyard in the Kumira area of the upazila at around 10am.

SI Nurul Alam Ashek of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost said the blast occurred while Nazim was unloading the cylinders from a truck at the shipyard.
He was rushed to CMCH, where the doctor on duty pronounced him dead, the police official added.
The body of the deceased was kept in the hospital morgue for autopsy, SI Nurul said.
