Barisal division logged 14 more Covid-19-related deaths in the past 24 hours till Saturday morning.
Of the deceased, health officials said, five were confirmed Covid-19 patients while the other nine were symptomatic.
SBMCH sources said nine patients with symptoms have passed away in the hospital’s isolation ward and one confirmed patient in the corona ward. Meanwhile, four others passed away from different parts of the district.
Of the five confirmed patients, two each died in Barisal and Bhola and one in Barguna -- taking the division’s death toll to 595, confirmed the divisional health director Dr Basudeb Kumar Das.
With the latest tallies, the division’s total caseload stands at 41,155.
At least 639 people were reported to have made full recovery from Covid-19, raising the total number of recoveries in the division to 24,266.

So far said 914 patients with symptoms have passed away in the hospital’s isolation ward and 361 confirmed patients in the corona ward.
Of the 914 patients who passed away with symptoms, the reports of 59 patients have not been found.
In the past 24 hours till Sunday morning, 20 new patients have been admitted in the hospital’s Covid isolation ward and five others in Covid ward.
With the latest addition, 166 Covid patients are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. Of them, 45 are in the corona ward and 121 others are in the isolation ward.
At the rt-PCR lab of SBMCH, 188 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, where 37.76% samples tested positive for Covid-19.
