Five people were killed when a bus rammed into a parked truck in Mymensingh on Saturday.

A Mymensingh-bound bus of Imam Poribohon hit the cement-laden truck around 8pm leaving three passengers of the bus dead on the spot, Trishal police OC Main Uddin told Dhaka Tribune.

At least 20 people from the wrecked bus were taken to the state-run hospitals in Trishal town and Mymensingh city, he said.
Two of them succumbed to their injuries at the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where 12 more victims are undergoing treatment, added the police officer.
Four others are being treated at the Trishal Upazila Health Complex, said the Trishal police chief before adding the victims’ identities are yet to be confirmed.
