The officer-in-charge (OC) of Shalla police station in Sunamganj has been withdrawn and attached to the Sylhet Range DIG Office.
District Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Mizanur Rahman said OC Nur Alam was closed on Thursday afternoon.
According to sources, OC Nur is accused of several wrongdoings, including conspiring to murder an SI, sexual harassment and extortion in the area.
A three-member probe committee has been formed to look into the allegations.

Nur Alam joined Shalla police station on April 7 after the previous OC, Nazmul Haque, was suspended for negligence of duty during the attack on Hindu homes in March.
