A man received two consecutive jabs of the Covid-19 vaccine at the same time during the mass vaccination campaign at Khulna General Hospital on Tuesday.
He was identified as Roknuzzaman, 38, of Koyra upazila, currently residing in South Tutpara area of Khulna.
Civil Surgeon Niaz Mohammad said that the nurses were performing their duties with caution. “In the midst of so many activities, human errors can happen.
“If there is a mistake, there is a way to correct it. The hospital authorities did not inform me about this. I am still looking for what actually happened.”

According to Roknuzzaman, a nurse vaccinated him after enquiring about his blood pressure. As he replied in the negative, the nurse administered the vaccine.
“Then another nurse came and vaccinated me again without letting me say anything. This was done in a minute. I feel weak after taking two doses of the vaccine,” he added.
On August 7, a 72-year-old woman named Zahura Begum was also given two consecutive doses of the Covid vaccine at the Moylapota vaccination centre under Khulna City Corporation.
