3 missing Sylhet children found after two days

Three minor boys who had gone missing from Ahmedpur village under Dakshin Surma upazila of Sylhet on Thursday have been found.

Family members and police identified the children as Hassan, 13, Hossain,13, and Apu,10. All three are madrasa students.

Hasan and Hossain are twin brothers, sons of late Shamsul Islam of the village. Apu is the son of Salma Begum, who is employed as a domestic worker in their house.

Hasan and Hossain's cousin Md Salah Uddin said the trio left the house around 6am on Thursday without telling anyone, and did not return.

After looking for them everywhere and failing to trace them, he lodged a general diary at Dakshin Surma police station.

However, Dakshin Surma police OC Monirul Islam said the three boys had left the house Thursday morning saying they were going for their coaching classes.

Later on Saturday, the OC confirmed that the three children were found in the Jaflong Zero Point area and returned to their families.
