Ten more people died at the Covid-19 unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the 24 hours till 8am Saturday.
Among them, three had tested positive for Covid-19, while the rest had only exhibited symptoms, said RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yeazdani.
Of the deceased, five were from Rajshahi and five from Chapainawabganj.
As of Saturday morning, 13,755 people contracted Covid-19 and 121 others died of the disease in the district alone, with a daily infection rate of 17.84%.
The hospital's Covid unit has logged 193 deaths in the last 19 days. Of them, 105 had tested positive for the disease.
Some 46 people were admitted to the unit between Friday and Saturday mornings.
Eighteen people were also discharged from the hospital after recovery during this period.
The Covid unit is now treating 365 people against a capacity of 309 patients, the RMCH director said.
He added that the hospital authorities were providing treatment after arranging additional beds.
As the coronavirus situation in Rajshahi keeps worsening, the local administration imposed a strict lockdown in the city from 5pm on June 4 till June 24.
