Twenty eight cobras have been found at a kitchen in Kushtia’s Mirpur upazila, raising panic throughout the area.
The poisonous snakes were found at the house of Nazmul Islam Liton in Sadarpur School Para area on Monday morning.
“We noticed two baby snakes outside the kitchen. Two more were found in the kitchen,” Nazmul said.

Later, they recovered 27 more cobras digging out the earth in the kitchen and beaten them to death.
Being informed by the locals, a charmer came to Nazmul’s house and captured the mother snake alive.

Over 150 cobras have recently been discovered in people's homes in Rajshahi town and Tanore upazila of the district.
