Less than a month after an O’level student was brutally raped and bled to death from internal hemorrhage, a university student on Sunday, her father alleges has died in a similar fashion, two days after being raped in Dhaka city's Mohammadpur area.

Mohammadpur police station's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Latif said the woman’s father filed a case in this connection on Sunday evening, reports Bangla Tribune.
According to the OC, the woman was raped by a young man in a restaurant bathroom on Friday.

After she fell ill, the accused took her to a house in Mohammadpur where he raped her again. She was later rushed to a private hospital after her physical condition worsened.
She finally succumbed to her injuries at the ICU of the hospital on Sunday morning, hours before the case was filed.

The alleged rapist and two other people have been booked in this connection.
The body was kept in the morgue of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy.
