Police claimed to have busted a firearms-making factory in the city’s Double Mooring area and arrested a woman in this connection.
Confirming the matter, Mohammad Mohsin, officer-in-charge of Double Mooring police said that they conducted a drive in Bongshalpara area around 2am on Friday and discovered the factory in a rooftop room of a residential building.
Police arrested one Meherunnesa, 39, and seized two firearms and a large quantity of raw materials used to manufacture weapons from the scene, the OC added.
