Jail authorities have withdrawn two more prison officials from Kashimpur jail, after they helped an inmate, Hallmark Group General Manager Tushar Ahmed, spend time with a woman in an unauthorized meeting.
On January 24, Senior Jail Superintendent Ratna Roy and Jailer Nur Mohammed Mridha were withdrawn from their positions. Jailer of Kashimpur Central Jail Nur Mohammad confirmed the matter.
Previously on January 18, three other officials Deputy Jailer Golam Saqlain, Sergeant Instructor Abdul Bari, and Assistant Chief Jailer Khalilur Rahman were also withdrawn. A total of five prison officials have been withdrawn over the incident.
A private TV channel's video footage showing a woman privately meeting Hallmark Managing Director (MD) Tanvir Mahmud's brother-in-law and Hallmark General Manager (GM) Tushar Ahmed recently went viral on social media. The incident reportedly took place on January 6, but it came to light after the TV channel aired the CCTV footage.

The footage shows prisoner Tushar Ahmed roaming near the offices of the prison area just before a woman was seen entering the premises.
Security footage also showed Deputy Jailor Saqlain receiving the woman at the entrance and escorting her to his office.
At one point, the prison official left his office only to return with Tushar around 10 minutes later.
Later, Saqlain left his office leaving Tushar and the woman there for about 45 minutes.
Tushar Ahmed is accused of being involved in one of the country's biggest financial scandals.
The Gazipur district administration formed an investigation committee headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADM) Abul Kalam on January 12.
The other members of the committee are Gazipur Executive Magistrate Umme Habiba Farzana and Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury.
Gazipur Deputy Commissioner (DC) SM Tariqul Islam said that the investigation report was not submitted till Sunday. However, it will be submitted within this week.
