Police on Sunday arrested a man accused in a case filed for raping a 10-year old boy in Narayanganj.
The incident of rape took place on Saturday night at Gondhorbpur Hajibari area of Narayanganj's Rupganj upazila, after the accused lured the child in a deserted place.
The arrested has been identified as Abdur Matin, 42, a resident of Gondhorbpur Hajibari in Rupganj, confirmed Rupganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahmudul Hasan.
Earlier before the arrest, the child's father filed a case at the police station in connection with the incident.

Matin lured the child to an isolated place promising to buy him a bicycle. The child began screaming for help when Matin had been raping him and locals rushed to the spot, according to the case statement.
Although Matin managed to flee the spot that day, police arrested him on the day after. The accused was produced before the court after the arrest, said OC Mahmudul.
