Road in Jhenaidah named after Bir Bikram Mahbub Uddin

A road at Chaklapara in Jhenaidah town has been named after Bir Bikram Mahbub Uddin Ahmed, who led the guard of honour given to the members of the Mujibnagar Cabinet when the provisional Government of Bangladesh took oath on April 17, 1971.

Mahbub Uddin unveiled the plaque of the road on Sunday morning, in the presence of his family members and relatives, District unit Awami League Secretary and Municipality Mayor Saidul Karim Mintu and Muktijoddha Commander Makbul Hossen.

Mahbub Uddin, then sub-divisional police officer, recalled memories of the Liberation War while inaugurating the function.
