Makarram Ali, killed in Monday's terrorist attack outside a London mosque, wanted to live in his new house at his village home in Sylhet.
His only nephew resides in the Biswanath house as Makarram has been living in London with his family for years.
Many locals visited Makarram's house in Biswanath to offer condolence. He was expected to visit his home next year during a family vacation.
His nephew Jihad Ahmed Jaku said his uncle, known as 'Hiron' in his village, last visited during the 2015 Eid-ul-Azha. All members of his family are British citizens.

“He loved fishing and taking bath in the pond. He had a pond dug in front of the house,” Jihad said. “He called me last week and said he wanted to see the house. He told me that he would visit in January next year.”
Makarram was the youngest of six siblings. He moved to London at the age of 12. He married in Biswanath and returned to London. All his six children were born there.
Saruala village residents said they were stunned after learning about Makarram's death. His friends described him as a very good person and demanded exemplary punishment for the killer.

Biswanath Upazila Sadar Union Parishad Chairman Saiful Islam said Makarram cared a great deal about his village and always stood by the villagers.
Fifty-two-year-old Makarram had collapsed just prior to the incident and was being given first aid by several others when a van drove into them, killing Makarram at the scene, at Finsbury Park.
Eight others were seriously injured. Police have arrested the van's driver.
