A teenager has allegedly been gang-raped in Narsingdi.
The incident took place at around 7.30pm on Thursday at Chouwala sand field in the municipal town.
The survivor lodged a complaint with the Sadar model police station on Friday.
Accused Monir and three others are absconding.
According to the teenager and her relatives, she works at a local spinning mill and lives with her family in a rented house in the municipal town.
She went out of the mill to buy dry food around 7:30pm on Thursday when she met an acquaintance Yamin.
While talking to Yamin, three other unidentified youths, including Monir, beat Yamin and took her to an open place in a nearby sand field.
There the accused took turns raping her and then fled.
The victim then lodged a complaint against Monir and three other unidentified persons at Sadar model police station on Friday afternoon.
Narsingdi Sadar model police station OC Biplob Kumar Dutta Chowdhury said an investigation is going on, including visits to the site.
Besides sending the girl to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital for medical examination, the police are also preparing to file a case and arrest the accused.
