160 gold bars seized at Chittagong airport

Customs officers seized 160 gold bars from Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong on Thursday morning.

Customs officials said the gold bars recovered from a Bangladesh Biman flight (BG-148) that had returned from Dubai at 8am. 160 gold bars worth around Tk 10 crore were recovered from beneath the passenger seat of the plane. 

Wing Commander Farhad Hossain Khan, Manager of Shah Amanat International Airport confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.

However, no one was detained in connection to the incident.
