At least seven people including an imam and policeman have been arrested for rape in six districts around the country.
The incident took place on Wednesday and Thursday.
Among the six rape survivors, four are minors.
In Tangail, a fourth-grader child has been reportedly gang-raped in Bhuiyanpur.
Police arrested a man named Goulam Mostafa, 45, for his involvement in the case filed on Thursday, confirmed police.
The other accused, Ismail Hossain, 40, in on the run and we are making drives to different areas to arrest him, said Rashidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhuiyanpur police station.
In the statement, the father of the rape survivor said, the accused took his daughter to a deserted place on Monday noon and raped her taking turns. After knowing the incident, the family filed the case on Thursday.
In Gazipur, a 13-year-old girl was abducted and gang-raped reportedly by two people in Kashimpur area on Wednesday afternoon.
The arrestees Shanto, 20, and Shakil,22, hailing from Naogaon abducted the girl and raped her taking turns in a Brac Schoolhouse in Tetuibari area.
“We arrested the accused two from Naogaon. We are investigating the incident,” said Rafikul Islam, inspector of Kahimpur police station.
In Narayanganj, a case was filed against a police constable for raping a mother of two in Siddhirganj upazila on Wednesday.
The woman said in her case statement that the constable Abdul Kuddus Nayan, 35, a constable at Rajarbagh Police Lines has raped her on multiple occasions promising to marry her, said Quamrul Faruk, OC of Siddhirganj police station.
In Sylhet, police arrested an Imam of a local mosque for sexually harassing his 12-year-old student in Kanaighat’s Lakshmiiprasad area.
The incident took place on Saturday and police arrested the accused, Riaz Uddin, from his house on Thursday afternoon.
The father of two reportedly sexually assaulted the girl for over a month, said Shamsujjoha, OC of Kanaighat police station.
However, family members of the imam said he had been framed into the incident over personal rivalry.
In Madaripur, police arrested a man named Bishwajit Baiddya, 20, for raping a college student in Dasar area.
The girl was raped on multiple occasions by the youth, police said.
We arrested the youth and sent him to jail through the court, said OC Abdul Wahab of Dasar police station.
In Satkhira, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested a youth from the border areas of Sundarbans for raping a child in Ashashuni of the district on Thursday.
The arrestee, Tarikul Islam, 18, has raped the child on Monday evening and was trying to flee to India through the border, said Anisur Rahman, superintendent of police.
He confessed to his crimes, said the officer.
