Police recovered the body of an unidentified man from the Chitna Bil adjacent to Brahmaputra River on Friday.
A local named Joynal Abedin spotted the body of a man, who appeared to be aged between 45 and 50 years, and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Kurigram morgue for autopsy.
A four-member team from Rangpur CID's Crimes Division examined the body and collected samples.
Dhushmara police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sarkar Iftekharul Mokaddem said a case has been filed with Dhushmara police station in this regard.
