Four more victims of the air conditioner blast at Baitus Salah Jame Mosque in Narayanganj’s Fatullah area have died at hospital.
The deceased are Abul Bashar Molla, 51, Julhas, 35, Shamim, 45, and Md Ali Master, 65. Dr Partha Shangkar Paul, a resident doctor at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka, confirmed the matter on Sunday.
So far, a total of 25 people, including a child, have died from burn injuries sustained during the blast which took place on Friday.
Following the legal process, 24 bodies have been handed over to their relatives without autopsy, said Md Shahidul Islam, station officer of Siddique Bazar fire station.
Meanwhile, police have filed a case of "murders by negligence" over the incident, suspected to be caused by a gas leakage in pipelines.
Narayanganj Fatullah Model police station Sub Inspector Humayun Kabir filed the case on Saturday night. Aslam Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of the same police station, confirmed the matter.
The case has been filed against the mosque's management committee, its construction authority, the concerned electricity and Titas Gas authorities, among others.
Fatullah Model police station Inspector SM Shafiqul Islam has been appointed as the investigating officer of the case.
Aslam Hossain said the accused names are not being mentioned in the interest of investigation the case. They have started the investigation and no details can be provided before its completion.

Meanwhile, various organizations including Narayanganj Cultural Alliance and District Women's Council have protested against the blast.
The leaders of the organization and locals have claimed that gas leakage from pipelines beneath the mosque caused the blast.
The mosque committee lodged a written complaint to repair the gas leak nine months ago, but Titas Gas authorities did not take any step.
The members of the committee said Titas Gas authorities asked for a Tk50,000 bribe. As the bribe was not paid, the authorities neglected the matter which resulted into this catastrophe.
They hope that proper investigation will bring out the real issues and the responsible will face exemplary punishment.
Four separate probe committees – by Narayanganj district administration, Fire Service, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd, and Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC) -- have been formed to investigate the incident.
