Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four alleged drug dealers with 2,955 yaba pills and 40 phensedyl bottles in separate drives in Rajshahi on Monday.
According to the RAB sources, the arrestees were identified as Emon Ali, 24, Md Jakaria, 37, Abdul Kadir, 20, and Mariful Islam, 19.
On a tip-off, a RAB team conducted a drive in Mehedipur area under Bagha upazila and arrested Emon Ali with 1,000 yaba pills at around 8:45pm.
Another RAB team, being informed, conducted a drive in Shishatala Rail gate area in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila and arrested Jakaria and Abdul red-handed with 1,955 yaba pills around 10:30pm.
Apart from this, another team of the elite force arrested Mariful Islam with 40 phensedyl bottles after conducting a drive in Meramatpur area under Charghat upazila in Rajshahi around 9:15pm.
Three cases were filed with concerned police stations after the suspected criminals along with the seized contrabands were handed over to police.
