Private airline NOVOAIR will start flights on the Barisal route from Sunday, according to media statement issued on Saturday.
It said the daily 40-minute flight will depart Dhaka for Barisal at 3:15pm, and leave Barisal for the capital at 4:25pm.
Currently, NOVOAIR operates daily flights from Dhaka to Chittagong, Saidpur, Sylhet and Jessore in compliance with health guidelines issued by the government.
Domestic flights were suspended from March 25 as per the government directive to prevent further spread of the deadly novel coronavirus.
From June 1, flights to Chittagong, Saidpur, Sylhet and Jessore routes resumed in phases. Following that, flights also started operating on Barisal route.
