At least seven more patients have died in the last 24 hours at the Covid-19 unit of Comilla Medical College Hospital taking the death toll to 101 in the unit.
According to the official records, 15 people have died from Covid-19 and 86 others have died so far while undergoing treatment at the unit with Covid-19 like symptoms.
Confirming the deaths, Dr Istiyak, an on-duty doctor of the unit said: "The rise in the death toll at the isolation unit is alarming, but we are doing our best to provide the best possible treatment we can offer to the patients. "
