At least three people have died and three others injured in a road accident in Thakurgaon after a three-wheeler collided with a truck.
The accident took place on Tuesday night near Kalomegh area of Thakurgaon-Baliadangi road, local sources confirmed.
The deceased are Yakub Ali, 50, who was a resident of Naogaon, Sadekul, 30, who was a resident of Baliadangi, and a 35-year-old woman who is yet to be identified.
“Along with the Fire Service and Civil Defence team, we rescued the three injured three people and took them to Thakurgaon Modern Sadar Hospital,” said Baliadangi police station OC Habibul Islam.
“The people who were killed and injured were from the three-wheeler. We seized the killer truck but its driver was able to flee the scene,” added the officer.
